Apple Watch Series 8
We expect to see the Apple Watch Series 8 at the Apple September event. Based on rumors, the Apple Watch 8 vs. Apple Watch 8 upgrades don’t change a lot, but that doesn’t mean the Series 8 won’t be the best smartwatch yet.
That said, the Apple Watch 8 body temperature sensor is comparable to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 skin temperature reader. This will pair nicely with the new workout features in watchOS 9.
Additionally, as part of watchOS 9 for the Apple Watch 8, we could see a new battery saver mode that improves battery life. Will this be the year the Apple Watch finally gets more than 18 hours of battery life? We know it’s best not to get our hopes up, but it’s not impossible.
Finally, the Apple Watch Series 8 is rumored to be joined by two other smartwatch models: the new Apple Watch 8 Pro and Apple Watch SE 2. The Apple Watch 8 Pro could be a rugged smartwatch with premium materials like longer battery life, a larger display, and more. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch SE 2 will be the successor to the Apple Watch SE, offering an entry-level Apple Watch experience at a lower cost than the flagship.
According to the previous models. The Apple Watch 8 and SE 2 may have different watch sizes. But the previous Apple watch bands may fit them. Suitisbest may launch watch bands for the new Series 8 and pro models.
AirPods Pro 2
Finally, at an Apple event in September, the long-rumored Apple AirPods Pro 2 may be announced, the follow-up to the wildly popular AirPods Pro, some of the best wireless earbuds we’ve tested.
It’s been a few years since Apple introduced new noise-cancelling earbuds. We got the Apple AirPods 3 in 2021, but the AirPods Pro 2 could offer a key upgrade. They’re rumored to get some fitness tracking features, a voice recognition tool that automatically pauses playback, and more support for third-party apps.
We haven’t heard much about the battery life and charging of the AirPods Pro 2, but we don’t expect those specs to change much. Likewise, the AirPods 2 Pro may stick with Lightning charging.
What are Rumored Apple devices?
Beyond the iPhone 14, Apple Watch 8, and AirPods Pro 2, we’re not sure what other devices Apple has planned for the September event. That said, there are other rumored Apple devices believed to be on the horizon.
iPad Pro 2022
We don’t know much on the iPad Pro front, But that doesn’t mean the Pro models won’t see an update in the spring. After all, Apple introduced the iPad Pro (2021) at its last spring event.
The iPad Pro 2022 may feature the M1 Pro chip found in the latest MacBook Pro computers, but another rumor suggests the next-generation iPad could benefit from the first 3-nanometer chip. Aside from possible performance and efficiency improvements, we don’t know much about this new chip.
A new iPad Pro 2022 rumor backs up some of these claims, while also touting a larger battery and potential wireless MagSafe charging, thanks to a magnetic Apple logo on the tablet. Time will tell if these are correct, but we’ve rounded up the biggest iPad Pro 2022 rumors yet for your perusal.
We have heard the rumors swirling around an upgraded Mac mini with an M1X chip and potentially a new design. The jury is out on whether this device will be shown off at the next Apple event.
iDrop News (opens in new tab) claims insider information from Apple marketers that Apple initially planned to launch the new Mac mini alongside the upcoming MacBook Pro, but delayed the release in order to let the laptop “glow”.
However, the same report claimed supply chain insider information, which led to the rise of the new Mac mini. So there’s a good chance the new Mac mini will be released soon. When exactly is unclear.
Aside from speculation about a rumoured new device, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is now predicting (opens in a new tab) that an upgraded Mac mini will indeed launch in 2022, although he doesn’t give any hints on exactly when.
Apple VR/AR headset and Apple Car
Further on the horizon are Apple Glasses or an Apple VR and mixed reality headset. And an Apple Car could come at some point down the road.
Tim Cook is allegedly planning to step down after “one more” big product reveal sometime between 2025 and 2028, so at least one of those innovations could be a few years out.
